Despite that, the game is not impossible. Based on playing this demo, I can see I’ve been missing out! There’s absolutely NO hand-holding. This is my first Nancy Drew game, mainly because they never have demos.

If you haven't tried an ND for a while, now that there is a trial hour, I'd really recommend it. One of the puzzles requires unscrambling pictures of actual ancient Grecian art - that's the kind of attention to detail and makes me wonder how much research must be done for these games. I loved the theatrical version of the Underworld in the game, it was great to explore and I loved learning about the judgement of souls. I learnt so much about Ancient Greek myth, art and architecture that I'm sure I could sit a post Drew exam. High drama ensues, while Nancy does her usual - working a couple of jobs while solving thefts, disappearances and murder. In the amphitheater is a theater company putting on a production for the museum. In typical Nancy fashion, you go to help out at a Greek museum, but when you get there, you're all alone. The Hardy boys are more actively your long distance back up in this game, a bit more team for Detective Drew. Nancy's phone has 9 games installed on it, so downtime play too.

I always play Amateur Sleuth for the task list and hints plus I always use a walkthrough (I don't know how anyone plays tough!) and got hours of play out of this game. The variety of puzzles is pretty out there, the quality is high and feel of being a 'detective on the case', rather than going through the motions is pretty good. It's got a solid cast of characters, it's a small group but everyone is fleshed out with back stories and multiple motives.
Some stand out points for me: the story is really cohesive, with real plot twists that genuinely surprised me. It's a large file game and it is a long one. Will definitely play it again.Ģ Underworlds versus 1 Detective! I am a Nancy Drew fan and this game is in my ND top 4 (with The Deadly Device, Shadow at the Water's Edge and The Silent Spy). Also, having the camera means you can take photos not just of evidence but also things you need to remember.so no more scribbled notes for me! Awesome game. If you want to get through conversations quicker you can click through the dialogue at your speed.
The To Do list and notes are conveniently placed at the bottom of the screen. I love the camera and the fact that the items you collect are at the bottom of the screen instead of having to open them up separately like in some of the other ND games. This isn't available straight away though, you are given plenty of time to try and work it out yourself first. You can still phone someone for a hint like in the older ND games but in this one you can click on 'Need a hint' in the to Do list and if you're really stuck you can click on 'I need a solution'. This is the first Nancy Drew where I have had not only a trial but Hints and solutions in the To Do list. So when I bought the game I had to start from the beginning! Your game isn't automatically saved during the trial. Just keep an eye on the time during the trial though because I lost track of time, didn't think to save the game and ran out of time.
Love the new look! This is the first time I have had the opportunity to play a trial for a Nancy Drew, much appreciated guys.
